I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
